Review

I became quickly hooked on this South Park Role Playing Game! You take on the role of the new kid, you get to choose your category (I went with Mage, there were others available) and just like in the RPG classics we are all familiar with you level up your character, obtain new abilities, upgrade your weapons, armour etc. throughout the game.

What I absolutely loved was that the entire game felt like I was actually interacting with a south park movie! I met with/played alongside/occasionally controlled all of my favourite south park characters as we worked our way through all the twists and turns of a crazy storyline. Unlike other games I have played that have their links in a movie or TV programme this DID NOT feel like one long advert/re-hash of a story I already knew the ending to! Instead it seemlessly worked in characters and references to familiar storylines so that it felt like I was just in South Park.

The game play was excellent with good lines of sight at all times and straightforward controls that were easy enough to grasp even with the more advanced moves you have to learn as you progress through the game. The inventory, map and character menus were all intuitive and clear to understand.

The catch 22 here is that this game is so addictive you will want to continue playing even when the content becomes so offensive you feel somewhat unclean for even looking at it, but hey that's South Park, its definitely not for children and/or the easily offended!
