Whether they're playing online or sat in the same room, competing against your friends is usually as fun as gaming gets. Some of the best gaming experiences of my life have involved a couple of controllers and Mario Kart, Worms or Sensible Soccer. So, the fact that #IDARB, the latest game being offered for free to Xbox One owners, fails to be fun even when I drafted in a few fellow UKGN players, should tell you all you need to know.
It's a platform / sports game hybrid where two teams leap around aimlessly trying to throw a ball into a goal more times than the opposition. Sounds like a good idea, but sadly the action is so fast and confusing that I spent most of the time playing wondering what was happening and where I was on screen! Players end up running around the play area aimlessly in a group, just like a kids football match.
I could tell you about all the customisation options there are, where you to personalise players and teams, and the unique feature that allows you to interact with the game by posting message on Twitter. However, the latter actually just seemed like it was being used to get swearing into the game.
It might not have cost me any money, but I actually consider #IDARB to be a waste of disc space and I've already deleted it before posting this review. It really is the worst game I've played in a very long time.

About the Review
Endured about an hour of multiplayer matches and won all of the single player levels, which took about another hour.
