Alien Isolation

You will be screaming. A lot.

Review

So you saw the films and thought the nightmares would end???

Not a chance, Alien Isolation has landed ladies and gentleman and boy did it come at the right time of the year.

Now normally you mention a Alien game to somebody and automatically the answer is "what the ones based of the James Cameron movie?" but in this case Alien has been given a new meaning.

So to start with what is this game? where does it take place? Alien Isolation is a survival horror game where you are ALONE....... you play as Amanda Ripley who is searching for her mother (you may remember Amanda as a old lady in the directors cut of Aliens).

Alien Isolation brings a lot elements that are there to throw you off or make you believe something is there (maybe its not??).

PRO'S:

The game is based 100% on the technology that the original Alien film had in it (gotta love those VHS monitors)

The environment is amazing from the pipes bursting (HISS) to lighting effects (even standing at a glass window looking out into space is extremely detailed).

If you play with the Alien too much it will learn very quickly that you are nearby (so save those decoys)

The Aliens intelligence is matched by its violent feelings towards killing you.

downside:

The only downside I could find is that you have to manually save your game (if you die you start where ever you last saved) but that adds to the urge to survive

Now lets see how you survive this nightmare

About the Review

I got the game on release day and because of playing this game with headphones on (and I mean turtle beach headphones) I have now managed to fear every hiss or any noise that sounds like a Alien in a air vent. This game will make you feel hunted and if you don't think playing it with the lights on is scary TURN THEM OFF!! because your going to have a close encounter.
