Need for Speed Rivals is an open-world racing video game developed by Swedish games developer Ghost Games (formerly EA Gothenburg), and is the twentieth installment in the long-running Need for Speed series.
Review
This game doesn't need a proper review. It's your standard NFS racing game cops vs racers. Think Hot Pursuit (the last one) but in a Burnout Paradise style open world environment.
The game is enjoyable (if you're into those sorts of games, which I am), but the biggest problem with it on the PC is EA's stupidity. Like Fifa 2014 they believe that the vast majority of PC gamers don't have rigs powerful enough to play the "next gen" versions of their latest games. So we get crap upscaled ports of the PS3/Xbox 360 versions instead of the PS4 and Xbox One versions that sport a higher polygon shift. Not to mention the game is limited to 30fps across all platforms to make "All Drive" (essentially you're always online) a smoother experience.
Decent enough game, terrible PC gaming experience.
